One main question are you local or a traveler?  If a traveler where or what do you envision being you home culture?  A basic idea will allow me to share possibilities with you from this world. If local, I would assume that you have returned home from a stint in a monastery and are about to start life over.

I'm very sorry for the extended absence JustX. I'm going to try to do better.

Quinn is a local. If you agree, let's say that he was expelled from his monastery after a "misunderstanding" with a fellow student. However, he was there long enough to learn the basics and is now hopes to find a master who isn;t above taking on a tainted student.

I will make it a priority this weekend to have his character sheet done. Again, my apologies.

No problem there was plenty to do getting others up to speed, and I understand the issues of RL.

JustX,  thanks. If you have time to do that, I don't mind. I'm very sorry for my delay.

I had in mind a monk who focuses on unarmed combat. I was thinking of giving him skills in the "Drunken Master" type of martial arts, where he appears to be intoxicated but is actually moving with purpose, but the style doesn't really matter so much to me.

If he had an any points to spare I'd like him to have a few ranks in an appropriate musical or art skill, and also maybe local or regional lore, to reflect his learning at the monestery. I wasn't planning on giving him any magical skills, but I'll leave that to you.

These are all just ideas of course. If you are kind enough to generate a character then I will be happy to play whatever you put forth. :)

Again, sorry. Please don't let me hold up the game for the rest of the players. I promise I have good intentions but everytime I sit down to generate this guy something else comes up.

Thanks again.

Here is a first draft of the character sheet.  I mixed some High warrior Monk skill costs with the regular warrior monk costs to reflect the nature of the "monastery" you began at.

I am thinking the the weapon of choice would be something like this

https://www.medieval-shop.co.uk/weapons/3841-kyoketsu-shoge.html

I figure the chain can be used to provide a short ranged attack and the blades can be used when in close combat.  The ring could also aid in climbing.  Just thought and if you would prefer a more traditional weapon just let me know.

JustX, that looks great. I hadn’t thought about a weapon like that but I like it! Very unique.

Thanks for generating him. Much better than I would have done!

Check the skills and make sure these is to your liking. I see the chain as a 2-handed and the blades being just that.

Everything looks good. I don't know what "Yado" is (bottom of Secondary Skills page) but I am sure it will come in handy!

Yado is deflecting melee or missile weapons with your bear hands.  I think missile weapons are at half  the skill.  Basically, you use your hand to redirect the blade (or whatever) with a slap.  It's a bad 'arse' monk trick, but not sure I would use it in anything but a last ditch effort

Where do you see yourself staying now that you are without a "home"?
