I do love me some house rules.  :)  It will be interesting for me to see which BRP rules you use, and how you go about things for character creation.

The players don’t really care, as long as the roll is honest. Who cares if I hit with the flat of my shield, with the edge of my shield, or whatever? The story’s the thing!" -M. A. R. Barker

I'm working on character generation rules right now. I  may incorporate elements from Legend. More to come.

Yeah, the D100 family of games could be a big pile of optional rules to choose from.  Of course other RPGs could also be in the mix if they looked cool.  :)

On another random note... where are the other players?

I will have to read up on how some of those optional rules work.

I'm working on racial modifier for the non-human races. I'll probably change the characteristic roll for humans back to default rules. More to come.

Samwise7- if you want to propose some additional funky races, feel free. I think you were considering a half-inspect race, maybe from the jungles of Nazambu.

So we don't have a personal skill point pool?

If so, we are only allowed to choose skills from our profession.  I'm planning on playing a thief which has a modern day weapon skill, but no medieval weapon skill. May I change that?

Also, I'm wondering if we can play with the skill category bonus (still have 80% ceiling and/or lower skill point pool) Otherwise, I feel some of our characteristics don't do much.

A couple questions,

How will you, or in what situations will you use a hide and stealth check? I've had GMs do this different ways..

How will we do opposing rolls in this game?

Zingo -all good questions.

Right now, I don't think there is enough interest to get this game off the ground. I think we would need 3-4 committed players, and right now I  just have Samwise 7 and you. I will need to see if Celestial Fury is still interested. I was also thinking of using the Legend rules since they have more of a medieval feel.

I condensed what we've come up with into a single PDF for reference. It's still a work on progress!

I don't think Celestial Fury is still around, so we can use a few more players to join.

Well done, but how do you open attachments in a post?

Sorry, I don't know why I didn't see it. Thanks.

Power Level- Normal
Character Creation Options
Total Hit Points (page 30)

Skills Bonuses
Simpler Skill (page 31)- (Primary Stat/2)

System and Combat
Initiative Rolls (page 188)- DEX + 1d10
Major wounds (not hitpoints/damage-by-location)

Powers: Sorcery
Allegiance (page 315)
- PC choose Allegiances (e.g., nations, city, gods, guilds, family, orders)
- Allegiance points: roll (1D6-2) x (number of allegiances chosen)
- PC can distribute his Allegiance points to his chosen Allegiances
- PCs gain an additional 1/2 POW Allegiance points to be used towards spiritual allegiances only (god, demi-power, demon, etc.)

The Allegiance rules will need to be fleshed out during play. For example, once Allegiances are chosen, we'll need to decide what actions are in-line with the chosen Allegiance and which are against.
