"Anyone can talk to birds. The hard part is getting a useful answer."
I'm sorry, but I fumbled my "think of clever signature" roll.

Char laughs and slaps Bryn on the back, he can feel it through his armor.

"Rest stranger. That was a long fall."
"How do you hold on to an angel?"

"Hook em by the wing joint. You know where it jogs in there? Clip or a claw... a snare would do it."

"Thanks, but I'll see if I can help with some of the lighter work. I expect I'll feel better if I keep moving."

He shrugs. "Fine, then work. I would rest. I like to rest." he and Muv both laugh loudly.

The rest of the day is uneventful. They only allow Byrn to tend stack wood to dry beside the fire. It is a chore in the constant drizzle.

Bryn awoke the next morning with a stiff and aching body. The sun had already climbed midway up the sky. He was not ready yet for adventure and he still had hopes that the ruins of the lake might offer some, so he resolved to spend the day in recovery, wandering around the area near the great tree, paying special attention to the plant growth, hoping to discover some curiosity or some precious herb, but at least assured of busying his mind with something other than the aftermath of yesterday's fall.

(We forgot to make a first aid roll right after the accident. Would you like to see what that does for you? He can regain 1d3 HP)

After 6 hours, his body feels less stiff, and some of the more obvious bruises are fading. (1 point of damage healed.)

Well, Bryn's in for a few days of light activity while he recovers, observing the Argan and doing a little local exploration. Unless something comes up, we can cut ahead to the day he's feeling his old self and heads over to the lake to have a look.
