A few words about Raal -

The Fireheart is the larger and brighter of the two glowing orbs that dominate the day sky. Unlike his smaller red brother, the Fireheart glows a bright yellow as he bathes the land in his watchful gaze.

In the local region, Raal is given due deference, as befits his status as chief amongst the Gods. However, there seems to be a trend of half-hearted respect as of late. It doesn't seem to be any grand conspiracy, perhaps it is even cyclical, but some of the practices of the priesthood and its leadership might be in question.

Chief amongst Raal's province is leadership, and the temples have a firm backing in the ruling classes. Raal also prioritizes martial prowess, and is legendary for his hatred of the forces of darkness.

Priests of Raal come from all walks of live and are as varied as the peoples they succor. When Raal's call is felt, it is hard not to answer. Priests tend to be a bit formal and stuffy in public, with some notable exceptions - including the High Prelate ( who is oft the source of scandal and gossip ).

The priests of Raal have access to a wide range of spells, but shun those of darkness, chaos, and evil. It is said that the High Priest, for all his gambling and carousing, has led the faith so sucessfully as to have actually been blessed by Raal himself.

--------------------

I will leave it to you to select spells, perhaps interjecting if absolutely necessary. Light Good, Dark Bad. Law good, Chaos bad. You can go against the grain, though - depending on the circumstances, an allegiance hit might be in order ( and I would certainly attempt to prewarn ).

When your allegiance score gets really high, expect perks. Raal likes leaders and people who take decisive action versus the "forces of darkness", oft defined as "anything that threatens my flock" but really more like the undead and the significantly bad stuff. Raal dislikes ineffective leadership and disruptive influences, he despises the undead and, like all the Gods, is mostly intolerant of technology.

Cool, that gives me a good direction to focus on for my character.

Concerning spells:

If I buy the max allowable allegiance skill of 75%, then I know allegiance/10 spells = 8? Is that eight individual spells.
eg.Armour of Faith, Binding of Faith , Blessing of Faith, Calling to the Elders, Calling to the Mist, Divine Blade, Divine Glamour, Divine Insight.

I can only have stored at any one time 8 levels of spells. So say sorcerers armour (4), heal (2), sorcerers hammer (1) and muddle (1). Correct?

You have access to all spells that Raal provides. Stored within you would be up to 8 levels.

Awesome! Cheers for clearing that up. I've basically done the character build. Just need some more background and gear and I'm done.

Looks great!

Your allegiance score has some side effects besides just spells, but they should be readily apparant in game play.

Do the priest of Raal have a specific uniform or mode of dress?

Only in very formal settings, preferring golden blings and red/orange garb.
