Using greek alphabet (and other fonts) on the forums

Is there a way of getting the greek characters to appear in a post, or will I have to make an image file of them in order to use them?

If you have a document with the greek letter,
just copy and past them ...
(the above are out of wikipedia)

Perhaps increas size to get them readable ...

they have to be in the basic characterset to show up, there's probably some way for forcing them, perhaps using the red A next to "Change color" to alter the fontface to greek? Not sure what the fontface list is, wish it was a drop down window like in word.

well, =greek didn't work. let me try symbol, that's one of the fonts in word.

I'd suggest finding a font you want with word, and using that to fiddle faddle.

It doesn't seem to work cutting and pasting from an MS word file, I just get plain text.  I even tried saving at as HTML and opening the file in Explorer, but cutting and pasting just still turns epsilon-lambda in to El.  I'm not sure why it works out of wikipedia... :huh:

However Dax copied took on font info with it. . .to do it yourself, use the font function, or make sure to copy the font info with the post.

Font button is highlighted below, block out text then click the button, then change "Font Face" to whatever font you want.

Sorry, that it unintentional worked  :rolleyes:  (alt + xxx or perhaps UNI-code ?)

font = symbol    Symbol   a b c d e f g h       = greek letters

font =   Comic Sans MS

font =   Papyrus

I looked it up, you can use any font, but the end user will only see fonts they have installed, if they don't have the font, it will go to the board default (currently Veranda)
