I cleaned out all the silly banter from "War in the press" so that it will at least be "On topic" absurdity. . .

heh, raf's post was perfect for the "War in the press" thread, since it mentions no factions, so I moved it there.

Many years ago (sometime in the 1980's) the British government was going through the mail of a suspected IRA terrorist. One of the messages was "Russia will support your attack on London". They arrested someone. It was a diplomacy game...

So are the first round of results stranger then your average game?

Somewhat unusual. Germany tends to pick up two or three centers on turn one. (They need the quick growth.) Britain usually gets one, not two. Everyone got at least one build, so no one will be overrun very easily. (Three way division of Austria sometimes happens...)

This game is REALLY taking up a ton of space in my message folder. I deleted anything left from my Pirates campaign to free some space.

I am enjoying it. Taking some time to get used to the rules again, but it is fun!
