How about a Canton that is great posts, but also require references?  I've read quite a few.  Just will have to research to find them and quote them here...

I was just talking to someone about this last night.  My suggestion was to preface the post with a brief explanatory paragraph, such as, "Talea, illucypher and Fred are on a quest to recover the Feather of the Phoenix from the Agatean Empire."  Just a little something to give the context so the post makes sense.

What do folks think about nominations from past posts (before the HoF began)?
I admit, I was thinking of current posts being nominated.  On the other hand we have several games in The Trophy Case and I'm sure they are rich in good posts.
My bias would be posts going forward from now.  No slur against fine work done in the past, but I see HoF as an incentive for posters to stretch themselves a bit.
Everyone please give an opinion :)

I don't see any reason why old posts would be excluded.
