They're not writing, so it's not like they're actually using off words. . .it's just that they're a little hard to understand, and this is the best way to simulate it. It's definitely your language, but you find yourself needing to actually pay attention to understand.

The "Voice" in your head isn't a voice. . .it's strong, palpable emotion and emphasis. The words are the closest analogues.
