Greetings
« on: September 03, 2007, 01:59:40 PM »
Hello everyone.

I have been playing roleplaying games since 1980, starting with D&D Basic.  I have played Rolemaster since 1988 but stopped playing altogether when my son was born 5 years ago.  I am looking to get back into roleplaying.

welcome

nice avatar!

Hope u enjoy it around here, plenty of games to either lurk on, or check the recruiting thread in Games to see what openings are available. Most GM's can always squeeze in 'new blood'!
Keeper for:

Sang Sur Mes Dents (Call of Cthulhu), gothic horror in Victorian London after Vampirism has been made legal. On hold but coming back.......

Sang Sur Mes Dents - Relinquo Cometes (Call of Cthulhu), gothic horror in Victorian London seen through the eyes of a Vampire. On hold but coming back.......

welcome aboard

Yep, starting a family does slow roleplayin down a lot, play by post is a great alternative to face to face for the hard pressed fathers of this worlds...(my daughters 5 now)

Hello and welcome!

I'm considering running a time-travelling game - I've got a poll survey in recruitment to see what people are interested in...

"Terrible what passes for a ninja these days" -- Pops Racer (John Goodman), Speed Racer (2008)
"How hard can it be?" -- Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), Temple of Doom (1984)

A time traveling game?  Would you be sticking with a specific system or is it more a freeform type of game?

I will likely be using GURPS (3rd ed.).

I might use Chaosium's BRP (Basic RolePlaying - RuneQuest, Call of Cthulhu, Superworld, Stormbringer, etc.), but more than likely it will be GURPS.  It is my intention (If I do this - I'll decide before next weekend, and it mostly depends on the response in the poll thread) to attempt to handle most of the mechanics myself (unless someone really wants to do chunky stuff), and even make characters for those who don't want to or don't have the system.

Just stopping in to give a warm welcome.

Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"
