Conception (UK Games Convention)

http://www.conceptionuk.org/

Since I help organise it I suppose I better try promoting it. ;)

Anybody interested? (Ictus, Gribble?  ;))

It does have two airports within 10-15 miles of it... ;)

And since it lasts 5 days the travels worth it...

After less than 10 hours of going "live" we had already booked up all of the 4- bedroom and 2-Bedroom lodges.

sounds like it's going well.

perhaps we need something in the Birmingham area so we can all get to it.

Well, apart from Gen-con(Manchester, a few years back)...UKGames expo...Game2007..you mean?

They are all up north... plus there are quite a few smaller Scottish conventions. Trouble is most of these are basically trade fairs with gaming bolted on.

(also run as commercial excercises i.e. to try and make money..)

Conception is run for charity, costs are kept low, there is no entrance fee...games are pay as you play (£3 for a 4 hour game) its also the longest convention which makes it very good value for money. In the past 8 years we've raised over £70,000 for childrens charities)

We have families coming down from Scotland and the Midlands and quite a few delegates from the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and a few from America. Try it. Seriously.
