This is a solo adventure board for Twitch.  Twitch, GM, and specified players may post here as the adventure dictates.

Twitch acknowledges that no one needs a ride and nods to Rook in the familiar manner which lets Rook know he’s all in, all biz and all over the job at hand. He quickly makes his way back to the garage and plugs into his vehicle – feeling at ease and in his element once again. He takes a double back, zigzag route back to his place being sure to check more than once for anyone that may be trailing him.

Convinced all is chill, he rolls up to the gate of his home (damn, never thought I’d have digs as wiz as this, he muses), deals with his more than adequate security and heads to his shop. A quick scan on the vid station reveals typical mundane chattering – deals and events on various motor craft drek and shows. There is a quip from River, sent prior to Twitch calling him from the meet with the Johnson, reminding him of Summer Festival and asking him what plans he may have … gotta give the old Trog a shout-out when the biz is squared.

With the Westwind all tucked in, Twitch cranks up the tunes, grabs some fruit and mineral water and goes over to where he keeps Big Brother – his Ares Cloudship Mini-Blimp; a magnificent piece of machine and a proud member of his arsenal. He has gathered more intel for various runs than he can remember. The Wolf in Denver did him right with this baby – and for the right price (as usual) and with no questions asked. A few tweaks here and there, the coordinates punched in, the rig adjusted for the job and all patched into the console with a scrambled, multiple jump return signal, he is good to go. Gonna have to pull out the Leland-Rover Transport to get it fairly close to the drop site but that won’t be an issue – Twitch knows the routes …

Twitch takes a moment to wash up and then grabs a nap. About 11:30 PM he sets out in the transport, gets within good range and releases Big Brother to do his thing. Patched in he monitors from the Rover to see what there is to be seen, keeping in mind Sarge’s request for a good sniper vantage point, and using the thermo to spot squatters. He also makes sure to take note of any large holes in the surrounding roads of Creeper Corner that would make vehicle traffic difficult or impossible.

Twitch easily pilots the drone through the area and in a short time has a relatively decent map of squatter and building locations.

Twitch sends Big Brother in for a closer look at the buildings near the only obvious route for the target to come in at, down 24th and 8th - the craters in the other roads make it impossible any other way.

He gets the following and loads it to his Poc-Sec for the meet with the team ... then packs it in and heads back to the homestead ...

+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+

S = Squatter camps

Black marks = large potholes, sinkholes, or craters from demolitions. Near to fully impassable by vehicles.

Life signs primarily only where squatters are noted.  Small animal life signs (dog size or smaller) near drop site and mobile.

The recon covers buildings with line of sight to intersection.  Further away there is no direct line of sight and/or no significant buildings (note for Sarge).

1 = Road barricade of burned out cars (Impassable by all vehicles)

2 = Dilapidated Factory

3 = Abandoned warehouse - at least two story.  Windows set high in wall.  Large bay doors (one jammed open) and at least three other regular doors.  Interior has ladders up to scaffolding in ceiling near windows; however that scaffolding is collapsed in sections and horribly unsound in others.  The area is also infested with rats and slightly larger life sources (dog/cat size) are detected.

4 = Creeper’s tenement (Visibly marked with red spray painted crosses over all surfaces and a scrawled painted message “Entry to Hell, Frag your souls”)

5 = Two story concrete office/government building, doors/windows missing but otherwise still a sound structure

6 = Old strip mall, small shops with shattered window fronts

7 = Old four decked parking structure, open sides, relatively intact

8 = Twelve story apartment building, Abandoned with upper sections missing many walls, upper levels have much exposed superstructure.

Red building at intersection = split level building, now boarded up.  Old aluminum siding.  May have been residence or doctor/dentist office or the like.

Green large square building = was local school with adjacent athletic field.  Boarded up two story with gaping hole on south side from explosives.

Blue rectangular building = is office type building, 1 level.  Appears to be local board of education office.  Boarded up with several oil drums in front and evidence of recent campfires.

Unmarked buildings are abandoned, boarded up.  Other than size all are similar 1 to 2 story residential buildings (unless noted otherwise).

On the ride back home, the music gets him thinking again – and a thought that was just below the surface, like a bird in the clouds popping up through, dances on his brain. He’s got more work to do. Jacking another rigger’s rig is dicey – any engine jockey worth his or her salt has countermeasures to keep other riggers from jacking in – frag, he sure does. Anyone trying to harness in to his rides or toys is gonna get a killer headache – or a smoking stump where their head used to be.

He’s back in the garage by 2:30 AM and already working on a use once and discard scrambler to blow any little surprises that may be in store – kinda like the ICE deckers gotta deal with. Thankful that he took the extra time in electronics class (6 dice) at Tech School (Halves penalty when defaulting for a skill roll in a Technical, Build, or Repair skill), he’s pretty confident he can fabricate his little box. And if not, hey, he’ll ask Jenny for some help – or River … (TALBOT – please feel free to do the rolls and provide any feedback about how Twitch thinks he did).

He quits around 4:30 AM to get some rest and wash up prior to the 11 AM meet at Leaves on Still Waters – hotcakes sound pretty wiz right about now.
